Rosaria La Marca of Naples, Italy, was arrested following a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) investigation.
He pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to traffic in counterfeit goods, to smuggle goods into the US and to structure financial transactions, as well as a charge for trafficking in counterfeit goods.
La Marca was charged alongside Andreina Becerra, Roberto Volpe and Jianhua Li in an eight count indictment.
Volpe and Becerra pleaded guilty, while Li pleaded not guilty.
The group conspired to smuggle more than 40,000 electronic devices and accessories with an estimated value of more than $15 million (according to recommended retail prices for genuine items), from July 2009 to February 2014.
The devices were shipped without labels and trademarks and then labeled and packaged after they passed through customs.
More than 100 illegal wire transfers totalling more than $1.1 million were made to Hong Kong as part of their activities.
