Clyde & Co bolsters Middle East IP practice

Clyde & Co has hired Mark Devaney as a partner of its intellectual property practice.

Devaney, who will be based in Dubai, will focus on trademark registration work across the firm’s office in the Middle East.

He advises clients on various aspects of brand protection, including trademark filing strategy, trademark selection and prosecution, validity and oppositions.

Rob Deans, partner at Clyde & Co in the Middle East, commented: “As the United Arab Emirates and wider Middle East become increasingly strategically important to global companies, the need for regional IP protection across the region continues to grow in line with business activity.”
