Oker-Blom, who is also an adjunct professor at the Hanken School of Economics in Helsinki, Finland, has finished his third and final two-year term as secretary general and will now transition away from ECTA’s management.
As past president, he will remain on the advisory committee for the association, as well as have the right to participate in council meetings, although without a voting right.
Commenting on the end of his term, Oker-Blom said he has “enjoyed, very much, working with the ECTA staff as well as the management committee”.
“During the past years, ECTA has developed a lot thanks to many active members in the various committees and hard working management members and staff. ECTA is very well regarded among the various IP authorities.”
