FriendMTS hires CISCO executive
Anti-piracy system provider Friend MTS has appointed Jeremy Maddocks to its senior management team, with the aim to develop business opportunities internationally.

Maddocks previously worked at CISCO, most recently in its video software solutions group where he led sales across Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Russia.

He is a specialist in video software solutions and has worked with broadcasters in Russia and Eastern Europe.

Commenting on the move, Maddocks said: “When I saw the awesome patented technology which has already been deployed by this fast-growing company at some of the world’s leading broadcasters, I realised the huge transformative potential of this security solution to many other operators.”

“It was an opportunity I could not miss and I am very excited to join Friend MTS on this next chapter in its journey.”

FriendMTS CEO Jonathan Friend said: “Our unique content protection services are already provided to some of the world’s largest broadcasting platforms, and with growing interest from broadcasters in the region, it is important to have specialists that understand the market and culture.”

“Jeremy is steeped in knowledge of broadcast security systems and understands the challenges which broadcasters are facing because of the changes of online distribution.”
