Nelson Mullins sets new chair
Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough has named John McElwaine as managing partner of its Charleston office.

McElwaine joined Nelson Mullins in 2000 as a member of its intellectual property group.

His practice focuses on internet, domain name and technology litigation and he has been active with the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers since 2009.

McElwaine replaces Michael Cole, who served as managing partner for six years.
