Olshan Frome Wolosky hires ex-Michael Kors counsel
Olshan Frome Wolosky has hired Lee Sporn as of counsel in its intellectual property law practice.

Sporn will be based in New York and will focus on clients in the luxury goods, fashion and retail industries.

Prior to joining Olshan, Sporn served as senior vice president of business affairs, general counsel and corporate secretary at luxury brand Michael Kors.

Commenting on the move, Steven Gursky, head of Olshan Sporn’s IP law practice, said: “Lee Sporn’s unparalleled experience across the board in intellectual property, corporate and advertising law are the perfect fit for Olshan, and will greatly strengthen our existing capabilities in this area.”

“Olshan’s intellectual property law and corporate clients include renowned international brands across a broad range of industries including fashion and luxury brands, and Lee’s extensive experience, which also encompasses labour and employment matters, commercial real estate, retail operations, securities law and compliance, is the perfect complement to our clients’ needs.”

Sporn said: “I’ve worked with Olshan’s lawyers for many years as both a client and across the table, and I am looking forward to joining the firm’s outstanding team. “

“I’ve seen first hand their collaborative team approach to client service, and I look forward to building strong relationships with clients and the team.”
