ITMA attends India’s TECH summit
Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys president Kate O’Rourke will join Indian government leaders in industry and research to promote the UK’s intellectual property profession.

O’Rourke will speak today, 9 November, at the New Delhi TECH summit, discussing intellectual property in a globalised world.

Joining her will be UK minister for science Jo Johnson, founder of Cobra beer Lord Bilimoria, and chief executive of the Creative Industries Federation, John Kampfner.

Also speaking at the summit is UK Prime Minister Theresa May and India Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The UK Intellectual Property Office and the Indian Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion signed a deal on 8 November to enhance bilateral cooperation between the jurisdictions on a range of IP activities.
