Duane Morris & Selvam appoints new director

Duane Morris & Selvam, the joint law venture between Duane Morris and Singapore firm Selvam, has appointed Kening Li as a director in its Shanghai office.

Li also joins Duane Morris as a partner and focuses on formulating intellectual property strategy and worldwide IP procurement and enforcement.

He has experience with patent litigation in both China and the US, as well as patent and trademark prosecution.

Li previously worked at Miller Canfield Paddock and Stone where he was chief of IP.

Norwood Jameson, chair of Duane Morris’s IP practice group, commented: “The strength of Duane Morris’s IP practice in the US and our IP-focused office in Taiwan makes the expansion of our Asian practice in Shanghai a natural progression of our worldwide strategy.”

Richard Thurston, head of the Duane Morris’s Taiwan office, added: “We welcome the addition of Kening to complement the bench strength of our IP practice in Asia as we are seeing increasing interplay between China and the US.”
