Brinks, Gilson & Lione elects new president

Brinks, Gilson & Lione has elected Gustavo Siller as president for a four-year term.

Siller, who succeeds James Sobieraj as president, will focus on building a presence in the Chicago marketplace, increasing awareness of the firm’s diversity efforts and create efficient methods to protect its clients intellectual property portfolios.

He also works as a litigator focusing on defending IP portfolios in a variety of industries including the telecommunications, medical devices and semiconductor industries.

Brinks Gilson & Lione has practice groups focusing on a range of IP rights, including copyright, patents, trademarks and trade secrets.

Siller commented: "It is an exciting time for our firm as we continue to adapt and change in an increasingly competitive environment.”

"I’m confident our status as a premier and highly sought-after trusted legal partner will pave the way for success as we solve the most complex business challenges our clients will face in the years ahead.”

He added: "I’d be remiss if I didn’t note that it was a pleasure to work alongside James Sobieraj in his final year as president. His breadth of experience, judgment, and leadership have been instrumental to me during this transition.”
