Wynne-Jones sets up London office

Specialist intellectual property firm Wynne-Jones has set up a new office in London as a result of a surge of interest in brand and invention protection.

The law firm said this surge has “increased client opportunities for Wynne-Jones” and that it has “invested heavily” in high quality IP professionals.

Wynne-Jones’s new London office will be shared with its subsidiary, Aipex BV, a pan-European IP law firm.

Victor Caddy, partner and trademark attorney at Wynne-Jones, will lead the new office.

Caddy has 20 years of experience and will be supported by around 30 patent, trademark and design attorneys in the UK and more than 200 hundred in Europe.

He said: “A year ago, we set out to launch our first London office within four years and have achieved this in less than 12 months.”

“This is thanks to the high quality of the team we have managing our business planning, and the dedication and enthusiasm of all our staff.”

He added: “Some may question our timing, with Brexit on the horizon, but I am confident that our track record of providing an excellent client experience, combined with the commercial and legal expertise for which we are renowned worldwide, will guarantee the success of the office.”

The London office will be Wynne-Jones' fourth in the UK, joining Cardiff, Cheltenham and Telford.
