D Young & Co has hired Uli Foerstl as partner in its Munich office.

Foerstl is an intellectual property attorney who focuses on cross-border litigation. He represents a broad range of national and international clients at the German Federal Patent Court and the German Patent and Trademark Office.

He previously worked as partner at Olswang’s Munich-based IP group.

Foerstl also has experience as a domain name arbitrator for the arbitration tribunal of the Czech Chamber of Commerce, advising clients in non-contentious IP matters.

Neil Nachshen, chair of D Young & Co, said: “Uli Foerstl is an excellent fit with our team of IP litigators. Our goal is to continue investing into the growth of our firm, to service our clients' global needs for innovative IP protection and enforcement.”
