DLA Piper promotes four in IP


DLA Piper has elevated four intellectual property attorneys to partner as part of a 46-strong round of promotions internationally.

UK-based IP and technology lawyer Patrick Mitchell has been be promoted to partner alongside Amanda Pilkington.

Mitchell works in London and focuses on media, sports, gaming and entertainment.

Pilkington, who works in Sheffield, works mainly with IP in the IT, retail and financial services sectors.

In the US, Philadelphian patent attorney Richard Cruz has been promoted, together with John Nading, who is based in Washington DC.

Cruz focuses on domestic and foreign patent preparation and prosecution, patent validity and infringement analysis.

He is experienced with telecommunications, financial services, semiconductors and other related technologies.

Nading works with trademarks, copyright, domain names and other related internet matters.

He focuses on IP litigation in court and proceedings before the US Patent and Trademark Office’s Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
